Restuarant Manager
Key Responsibilities
As a Restaurant Manager at an authentic Indian restaurant in the UK, with the additional responsibility of managing outdoor catering for Indian festivals and occasions, key responsibilities include:
Ensuring efficient daily operations, overseeing food preparation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Hiring, training, managing restaurant staff, conducting performance evaluations, and scheduling.
Managing reservations, addressing inquiries, and resolving any service issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Managing the restaurant's budget, controlling expenses, forecasting, pricing, and maximizing profitability.
Collaborating with chefs to develop menus that reflect authentic Indian cuisine, considering customer preferences and ingredient availability.
Implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, especially promoting Indian festivals and events.
Organizing and overseeing outdoor catering for Indian festivals, including logistics, menu planning, and staff coordination.
Ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations for restaurant operations and public event catering.
Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive prices for ingredients and supplies. Inspecting food and beverage services to ensure they meet the restaurant’s standards. Gathering and analysing customer feedback from both the restaurant and catering events to continually improve the dining experience.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, preferably with exposure to Indian cuisine and operations.
Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in English.
Ability to solve problems effectively and diplomatically.
Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask. Understanding of Indian dining etiquette and cultural nuances.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Languages Known: South Indian Languages
Pay
£35,000-£38,000 per annum
